Paphiopedilum malipoense was introduced to science by S.C. Chen & Z.H. Tsi – Acta Phyotax. - Sin. 22: 119 (1980).   Natural habitat – S. China to N. Virtnam  

The var. Jackii was introduced by H.S. Hac. – Aver., Orchids 66: 153 (1997) – from Yunnan – S.E.China to N. Vietnam. – also – Hemier – Orchdee (Hamburg) – 46(3):114 (1995)  

Grow warm in open compost which needs to be kept moist, 65% humidity, weak feed for 3 out of 4 waterings, moderate shade, and good air movement will give good results.
